A few years ago the Mall of America had a billboard on 62 Crosstown with photos of elaborate jewelry with the slogan: “Maybe you can live without it? But why take the risk?” Of course you can live without it. You can live without anything sold at the MOA. However, that slick marketing campaign captures the spirit of the age and begs the question, “What can’t you live without?”
What does Christmas tell us related to what we really need?
What do the people you know really need this Christmas?
What could you live without in order to show your desperation for God and free you to give more time or resources to others?
